While it would be hypocritical of me to agree with this sentiment entirely, it felt fitting nonetheless. The truth is life in the countryside suits me just perfectly and if I do go into Paris it is to do something truly special. Which is why city breaks in Paris can be incredibly magical. They allow you to pack all the best bits of the city into your trip. If you are planning on visiting Paris during Summer, I wanted to give you the heads up. It has recently been announced that the Olympic Cauldron will be on display in the Tuileries Gardens every Summer between now and 2028.

I visited the gardens during the Paris Olympic Games in the summer of 2024 and spent the evening watching the Olympic Cauldron rising into the night sky as dusk fell over the city. It was truly one of the most iconic things I have ever experienced in Paris, it was just so magical.
