Riachi Studio Knitwear

Life since 2020 has already, undoubtedly, marked the most changes I’ve ever experienced so far in such a short span of time, yet naturally so much can change in 5 years. Not to be dramatic or anything but since then, we have collectively lived through a global pandemic, profound political changes, devastating natural disasters, genocides and that is just naming a few.

During that time I became a mother, not only once but twice. What a beautiful time to be alive, what a difficult time to be alive! It has been both the most wonderful experience of my life and also probably the most challenging series of choices I have ever taken on, while still maintaining that I can do it all without any help from “the village”. I thought I had been prepared to experience this new life as a mother but it turns out nothing prepared me for any of these things life has thrown at me. Maybe part was to blame for the global climate we live in, maybe it’s just as simple as life as an adult is much tougher than anyone can prepare you for and I am burnt out. Fast forward, it’s already 2025 and with my “fashion career” on hold for the last 5 years as I chose to dedicate myself to bringing up my two little babies who are growing at an unrecognizable speed, the time has come to bring that focus back to my original plans and ideas. I realise that, at least I am lucky to have these dreams and creative ideas to fall back on. While I very slowly pick up the pace from where I left off in 2020 my duties as a mother are always priority number one and I have in no way figured out how to juggle both parenting and my scheduling my career simultaneously.

Fashion has always been and always will be something I come to to find my solace, I still live for those Fashion Week show updates on my Instagram feed. Before having our two wonderful children, I launched a cashmere knitwear brand, Riachi Studio. A brand that was born from a desire to create a collection of lasting quality knitwear pieces in a world of fast throw-away fashion, I am so proud to have seen my creative vision come to fruition and so proud that our beautiful products have been so appreciated by our loyal customers from all over the world. Since I am stepping back into that role again as a designer and business owner I wanted to share a few of our old favourites of mine from that collection. All our pieces are currently on sale to make space for the new journey our brand will be going on. Enjoy what you can while it lasts as none of these pieces will be back in stock once they have been sold.
