The Highlands of Scotland are home to many wonderful creatives, so it only seemed fitting that I shed light on these talents here on my blog as part of a regular feature. Who better to introduce you to first in this little series than my wonderful friend Ailsa Wilde who is the incredible talent behind Wilde Workshops: jewellery tuition and making workshops brought to you in the Scottish Highlands.

I had been really keen to join one of Ailsa’s workshops since she first launched through social media in early 2024. I booked myself into the Silver Ring Workshop at the WASPS Studios in Inverness during Summer 2024. Having had no previous jewellery making experience prior to the workshop, Ailsa’s incredibly warm and radiant approach to teaching meant that she put all the students at ease right away, introducing the process and guiding us through the class with her natural teaching abilities.

Ailsa is a dedicated and driven teacher and passionate jeweller.

She is incredibly approachable, patient & understanding, the perfect combination for a jewellery tutor.

The gallery above shows a little of the process throughout and our beautifully hand crafted and textured rings. From my personal experience, it was a real joy to be part of a creative workshop again after so long and to leave with something I was so proud and happy to have created as part of such a lovely afternoon with a room full of other women.
